To use some of the yarn residue I have knitted this cloth in basket weave..

Cast on 58 stitches and knit::

1.row: begin with 2 p and then pattern: 6 k, 2 p
2. row: begin with 2 k and then pattern: 6 p, 2 k
3. row: as row 1
4.row knit
5.row: begin with 4 k, 2 p and then pattern: 6 k, 2 p - end with 4 k
6. row: begin with 4 p, 2 k and then pattern: 6 p, 2 k - end with 4 p
7.row: as row 4
8.row: knit

When the cloth has the desired length - bind off.
