The Cliff gardens at the Minack Theater you see today were begun in 1998. The original gardens Rowena Cade created in the twenties and thirties were lost during the War, when access to the terraces was impossible..
The plants of today shows many of the plants Rowena Cade chose when she made her gardens.
The plants reflects the climate. Salty gales, much rain in the winter and often dry hot summers.
Some of the gardens are protected by the theater and allows more tender plants to grow.
The beautiful cliff garden of today is due to the gardeners Niall and Jill Milligan
