A Country Escape by Katie Fforde

Fran gets a letter from a distant aunt,saying that if she can manage a farm with cattle for one year, she stands to inherit it Fran is a city person and a chef, but she accepts the challenge all though she knows nothing about farming.  She gets help from Tig (the herdsman), her friend Issi and her rich neighbor, Antony. It is a novel in the usual Fforde style, but not quite as good as other of her novels I have read. Very predictable  outcome, but good, pleasant and light summer entertainment. The plot rather unlikely. The genre is chick-lit / romance.
