This is a novel with two love stories. The first starts in 1960, where  Jennifer Stirling  and  the journalist Anthony "Boot" O'Hare fall in love. Jennifer is already married to Laurence Stirling.

The second takes place in 2003, where the journalist - Ellie -finds some of the letters Boot has written to Jennifer, and makes up her mind to find out what happened.  Ellie is in a relationship with a married man and we also follow the development in their love story. 

I have previously blogged about one of Moyes novels: Still me, and I enjoy reading her. This novel was not an exception though it took me a while to get hooked.
